2025 Summer Registration

L&D Exploration Labs

L&D Exploration Labs is our traditional summer experience, offering rising 1st-6th graders a full day of adventure, learning, and friendship. Packed with exciting excursions and engaging activities, this program provides a dynamic and enriching summer for participants.

Running Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, L&D Exploration Labs will be hosted at Greenwood Elementary and Nuckols Farm Elementary. A half-day option is also available for students attending Summer Academy or Enrichment*, allowing them to join in the fun after their morning programs.

L&D Adventure Labs

L&D Adventure Labs is a new and unique field trip-based summer experience designed for rising 3rd-6th graders. Each day, students embark on an exciting off-site adventure, exploring new places and engaging in hands-on learning. 

With drop-off from 8:00-9:00 AM and pick-up from 2:00-3:00 PM  this program offers a dynamic way for students to learn beyond the classroom. 

Space is extremely limited for each session, so early registration is encouraged!

L&D Exploration Labs

Ages: Rising 1st - 6th grades

Locations: Greenwood and Nuckols Farm Elementary Schools
Days: Monday - Thursday
Time: 7:30am-5:30pm
Session Dates: June 9th - June 26th and June 30th - July 17th, Program Holidays 6/19 & 7/3
Cost: Three weekly payments of $170, $510 total for each session. Financial aid, HCPS staff discounts, and DSS subsidy available.

L&D Adventure Labs

Ages: Rising 3rd - 6th grades
Locations: Skipwith Elementary School
Days: Monday - Thursday
Time: Drop off between 8-9am, Pick up between 2-3pm.
Session Dates: June 9th - June 26th and June 30th - July 17th, Program Holidays 6/19 & 7/3
Cost: Three weekly payments of $282, $846 total for each session. HCPS staff discounts and DSS subsidy are not available for this program.

21C Exploration Labs

21C Exploration Labs is a dynamic summer experience designed for students at our 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CLC) grant sites. Combining hands-on learning with exciting experiences, this program balances academic enrichment with fun-filled activities to keep students engaged all summer long.

Running Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM*, 21C Exploration Labs provides a full-day experience where students build new skills, form friendships, and explore the world around them. A half-day option is available for students attending Summer Academy.

This program is a great way for students to continue learning in a high-energy, supportive environment where learning and fun go hand in hand! 

The Blueprint Labs

The Blueprint Labs is our summer experience designed for rising 6th-12th graders in our 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21C) programs. This program helps students draft their blueprint for success, offering opportunities to explore their interests, set goals, and map out their future.

Running Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, students will engage in hands-on learning, skill-building, and personal development. On Thursdays, the program extends from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM for field trips that provide real-world experiences to support their growth.

With a strong foundation and the right tools, students will leave The Blueprint Labs ready to build their futures with confidence!

21C Exploration Labs

Ages: Rising 1st - 5th grades
Locations: Fair Oaks Elementary School (Hosting Fair Oaks, Highland Springs ES, and Montrose Students), Laburnum Elementary School (Hosting Laburnum, Glen Lea, and Ratcliffe Students), Holladay Elementary School (*PM Half day option only*)
Days: Monday - Thursday
Time: 7:30-5:00 Full day, 12:30-5:00* Summer Academy Half day
Session Dates: June 9th - June 26th and June 30th - July 17th, Program Holidays 6/19 & 7/3

The Blueprint Lab

Ages: Rising 6th - 12th grades
Locations: The Oak Avenue Complex (Hosting Fairfield, John Rolfe, Varina, and Highland Springs HS Students), Holladay Elementary School (Hosting Brookland Middle Students)
Days: Monday - Thursday
Time: 8:30-1:30 Monday-Wednesday, 8:30-4:30 Thursdays for weekly field trips
Session Dates: June 9th - June 26th and June 30th - July 17th, Program Holidays 6/19 & 7/3

2025-2026 Afterschool Registration

LEARNING & DISCOVERY PROGRAM

Programs offer an afternoon snack, homework help, and teacher/vendor lead excursion opportunities for students to explore new experiences. All programs run on scheduled school days until 6pm. Weekly tuition is $98 per week. 

Registration opens for current families on March 28th at 8:00am. New family registration starts on April 7th at 8:00am.

2024-25 Afterschool Registration

Ages: 1st - 5th grades
Locations: Fair Oaks, Glen Lea, Highland Springs, Holladay, Laburnum, Montrose, & Ratcliffe Elementary Schools
Days: Monday - Thursday or Friday depending on school
Time: Fair Oaks, Holladay, Laburnum, & Montrose 2:15-5:30
          Glen Lea, Highland Springs, & Ratcliffe - 2:45-6:00
Program Start: New students - September 26th, All students - September 30th

Days: Monday - Thursday (High)/Friday (Middle)                       
Time: 3:15-6:00 (Middle Schools)
          4:15-6:30 (High Schools)
Dates: New Students - September 26th, All students - September 30th
