LEARNING & DISCOVERY Summer Adventure 2024

HEF will offer a full day program for students at two different locations this summer. This program focuses on educational enrichments in partnership with HCPS. Students will have access to pay for school breakfast and lunch through HCPS nutrition or can bring morning snack and lunch. HEF will provide an afternoon snack.

Ages: Rising 1st - 5th grades
Location #1: Tuckahoe Elementary School
         Schools Served: Tuckahoe, Jackson Davis, & Skipwith 
Location #2: Shady Grove Elementary School
          Schools Served: Shady Grove, Colonial Trail, Short                                          Pump, Glen Allen, Greenwood, & Trevvett
Days: Monday - Thursday
Time: 7:30am-5:30pm
Dates: Session 1: June 10th - June 27th 
            Session 2: July 1st - July 18th

*Students attending HCPS Summer Academy or Summer Enrichment can attend from 12:30-5:30 for a reduced rate.*

CLC Summer Academy Afterschool Enrichment 2024

CLC afterschool programs are part of our 21st Century Community Learning Center grants to support student and family needs. Students are recommended by their individual schools to attend the academic and enrichment based program.

Schools Served: Ratcliffe, Glen Lea, Laburnum, Montrose Elementary School 
Days: Monday - Thursday
Time: 12:30-5:00
Dates: June 10th - July 18th

CLC afterschool programs are part of our 21st Century Community Learning Center grants to support student and family needs. Students are recommended by their individual schools to attend the academic and enrichment based program.

Schools Served: Holladay Elementary School
Days: Monday - Thursday
Time: 12:30-5:00
Dates: June 10th - July 18th                                     

CLC Summer Institute - Middle Schools 2024

Hosted at Fairfield Middle School for CLC students from Fairfield and John Rolfe Middle Schools!            

Ages: Rising 6th-8th Graders
Location: Fairfield Middle School
Schools Served: Fairfield and John Rolfe Middle School
Days/Time: Monday - Wednesday - 8:30-1:30, Thursdays 8:30-4:30
Dates: June 10th - July 18th                   

CLC Summer Institute - High Schools 2024

Hosted at The Oak Avenue Complex for CLC students from Highland Springs and Varina High Schools!            

Ages: Rising 9th-12th Graders
Location: Oak Avenue Complex
Schools Served: Highland Springs and Varina High Schools
Days/Time: Monday - Wednesday - 8:30-2:30, Thursdays 8:30-4:30
Dates: June 3rd - July 11th

Programs over an afternoon snack, homework help, and teacher/vendor lead excursion opportunities for students to explore new experiences. All programs run on scheduled school days until 6pm. 

Registration opens to the public on Monday April 15th @ 8am. 

CLC Elementary Afterschool 23-24

CLC afterschool programs are part of our 21st Century Community Learning Center grants to support student and family needs. Students are recommended by their individual schools to attend the academic and enrichment based program.

Ages: 1st - 5th grades
Locations: Glen Lea, Holladay, Laburnum, Montrose, & Ratcliffe Elementary Schools
Days: Monday - Thursday or Friday depending on school
Time: Holladay, Laburnum, Montrose 2:15-5:30
          Glen Lea & Ratcliffe - 2:45-6:00
Program Start: New students - September 28th, All students - October 2nd

Locations: Highland Springs High, Varina High, Fairfield Middle, John Rolfe Middle
Days: Monday - Thursday (High)/Friday (Middle)                        Time: 3:15-6:00 (Middle Schools)
          4:00-6:30 (High Schools)
Dates: New Students - September 28th, All students - October 2nd
